What is Navia Therapy?
Navia Therapy is a modern mental health platform that makes it easier to find the right therapist the first time. We're focused on connecting people with licensed, insurance-based providers who are a genuine fit for their needs.
Unlike traditional directories, Navia Therapy goes beyond simple check-the-box surveys. We invite you to share, in your own words, what you're looking for in therapy. Our matching system uses that information — along with insurance coverage, provider specialties, and availability — to suggest therapists who align with your goals.
Whether you're seeking virtual or in-person care, Navia Therapy helps you skip the trial-and-error and start your mental health journey with confidence.
Is Navia Therapy free for patients?
Yes! Navia Therapy is completely free for patients to use. You'll never pay to search for therapists, view profiles, or get matched through our platform.
Please note you may be responsible for the costs of your actual therapy sessions, which are billed through your insurance or at a provider's self-pay rate — just as they would be if you found a therapist on your own. If you're not sure how much a session will cost, please check with your healthcare provider or your insurance company.
Can I use my insurance to pay for sessions?
Yes! Navia Therapy partners with thousands of licensed providers who are in-network with most major insurance plans. Our mission is to make high-quality mental health care affordable and accessible to everyone.

How soon can I get started with a provider?
As soon as tomorrow. You are not alone and we are ready to help. Begin your search to find the right therapist on your first try here.
Are your providers virtual or in-person?
Both! We understand that everyone has different preferences and needs, and we want you to find a therapist that is best for you.
How does Navia Therapy match me with a therapist?
Our matching system combines what you share about your goals and preferences with data on provider specialties, accepted insurance, and availability to suggest therapists who may be a strong fit.
Our goal is to help you find the right therapist the first time.
How do I book or cancel an appointment with a therapist?
Once you've found a therapist you'd like to work with, you'll be able to book directly onto their calendar. Once you do so, you will receive email confirmation directly from the provider. Navia Therapy does not handle scheduling or billing beyond this stage.
Can I switch therapists if it's not a good fit?
Absolutely. Finding the right therapist is a personal journey, and it's completely normal to explore more than one fit. While our goal is to match you with the right provider from the start, sometimes it takes a few tries to find the best connection. You can always restart your search and connect with another therapist through Navia Therapy.
Is Navia Therapy a healthcare provider?
No, Navia Therapy is not a healthcare provider. Navia Therapy provides information about licensed mental health professionals who choose to be listed in our directory, but these providers are independent and not employed by Navia Therapy. We do not offer medical or diagnostic services ourselves, nor do we make clinical recommendations.
Navia Therapy is patient-initiated and patient-directed. Our platform is designed to empower you to make your own choices — from exploring therapists who best fit your needs to deciding whether or not to book an appointment.
How do I contact Navia Therapy for help?
You can reach us through our Contact Us form for general questions about the platform, partnerships, or feedback.
⚠️ Please do not send personal health or medical information through this form — it is not HIPAA-compliant and not intended for clinical communication.
